Stud and Agistment Service Terms and Conditions

Amazing Alpacas will endeavour to provide the best possible care for all visiting alpacas and they will be cared for in a manner similar to our own herd. However all alpacas visiting do so at their owner's risk and owners are responsible for insurance if required. If the alpacas are currently covered by insurance, the underwriters should be informed of the change of location.

All service fees include routine husbandry costs. Any additional veterinary fees and drugs will be charged to the owner at our cost. We will endeavour to inform the owner immediately if any health problems arise.

Alpacas will need to remain with Amazing Alpacas for a minimum of eight weeks to ensure a stable pregnancy. We reserve the right to charge agistment fees at £7 per week per alpaca, following a stay longer than ten weeks.

All pregnancies will be confirmed by ultrasound scan by our experienced veterinarian and this cost is included in the service fee. Using ultrasound ensures an efficient breeding service and complete assurance to our customers that the returning alpaca is indeed pregnant.

All confirmed pregnancies come with a live cria birth guarantee. In the event of a lost pregnancy or still birth, a free return service at our farm will be offered. Any collection or delivery charges, or mobile service costs will be charged at our mileage rate of 75p per mile. This offer is available to the original purchaser and is not transferable.

Visiting alpacas must be in good health with a body score of at least 2.5, must have been wormed one week prior to arrival and be up to date with vaccinations. Clear instructions must be given if cria at foot require prophylactic treatment during their stay.

Amazing Alpacas reserves the right to trim the fleece around the rear end of the female to be bred should they consider it necessary.

Any collection or delivery of alpacas required by the owner will be charged on a mileage basis of 75p per mile. We carry insurance for accidental death for all alpacas whilst in our trailers, up to a maximum individual value of £10,000. If owners require additional cover they are requested to obtain that via their own broker.

Service fees and any veterinary costs will be invoiced following a successful ultrasound scan at 60 days following the last mating date. Such fees and costs must be settled prior to the return of the alpaca. If an advance payment service package has been purchased, such fees are due prior to the first service being carried out.

In the unlikely event that a female does not become pregnant, no service fee will be charged, but we reserve the right to charge agistment fees for the period of time on our farm amounting to £7 per week per alpaca plus any veterinary and drug costs.

Amazing Alpacas will provide clients with a comprehensive record of all relevant activities while their alpaca is at Little Goytre Farm.
